In his address, Rector Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar highlighted the strategic role of FSH in UIN Jakarta’s long journey and progress. He emphasized that alumni are vital assets in maintaining the university’s reputation and driving future development.
“UIN Jakarta continues to advance. We have now reached 29th in the world in Religious Studies, Divinity, and Theology, up from 45th previously. This shows that UIN Jakarta, as an Islamic university integrating Islamic scholarship with modern sciences, is on the right track. What we must do now is nurture and develop it together,” he said.
The Rector also encouraged alumni to actively support the strengthening of the endowment fund as a crucial instrument for university development and student assistance. He noted that FSH alumni—serving as judges, academics, politicians, bureaucrats, lawyers, and professionals—have significant capacity to contribute meaningfully to their alma mater.
Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum expressed deep appreciation for alumni enthusiasm and support for faculty development programs. He stressed that alumni are inseparable from the history and achievements of FSH over nearly six decades. Strengthening alumni networks, he added, is a strategic step to improve education quality, expand academic collaboration, and enhance the faculty’s societal contributions.
Beyond reunion and fellowship, the event also became a platform for collaboration in human resource development, teaching quality improvement, professional networking, and support for educational infrastructure.
The 59th Anniversary was marked by a tumpeng-cutting ceremony, symbolizing gratitude for the faculty’s journey and contributions. The solemn yet warm moment reinforced unity among faculty leaders, alumni, lecturers, staff, and students.
A key agenda was alumni fundraising to improve learning facilities and strengthen the alumni endowment fund. The fund will assist students facing emergencies such as parental loss, family layoffs, or other hardships that threaten their education.
The event successfully raised Rp523,920,000, consisting of Rp300,000,000 allocated for building a Smart Class and developing Moot Court facilities, and Rp223,920,000 for strengthening the Alumni Endowment Fund.

With this spirit of togetherness, alumni are expected to continue making tangible contributions to the advancement of the faculty, university, and the nation.
