FSH News, Jakarta - The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta has once again achieved a proud milestone through the success of the Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies in obtaining accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education. This accreditation status was established through an accreditation certificate that was electronically approved on March 31, 2026.

This achievement reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Sharia and Law at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta to maintaining and improving the quality of higher education, particularly at the doctoral level in the field of Sharia studies. The accreditation obtained reflects the fulfillment of higher education quality standards across various aspects, including curriculum, human resources, institutional governance, research, community service, and academic outcomes.

This success also demonstrates the faculty’s consistency in fostering a high-quality academic environment and supporting the sustainable implementation of the Tridharma of Higher Education. The accreditation process that has been completed is part of systematic quality evaluation and improvement efforts aimed at ensuring the quality of education provided to students.

The Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law stated that the accreditation obtained must serve as a foundation for strengthening the quality of education, research, and community service. The Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies is expected to become a center for the development of Islamic legal studies that is excellent, innovative, and responsive to various social, economic, legal, and technological developments that continue to evolve at both the national and global levels.

This program is also expected to strengthen its contribution to the development of various strategic studies, including Islamic family law, Islamic economics, contemporary Islamic law, as well as legal issues related to the dynamics of modern society. Through the strengthening of academic and research capacity, the Doctoral Program in Sharia Studies is expected to produce scholarly insights that contribute to the advancement of knowledge and legal policy in Indonesia.
