Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Jakarta Strengthens Community Service through Strategic Collaboration with Multiple Partners
FSH News, 2nd Floor Meeting Room – The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta reinforced its commitment to implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education by signing cooperation agreements (PKS) with several strategic partners. The event, held on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, marked a concrete step in building synergy between universities, community organizations, and professional institutions to expand community service programs.
The partners included the Jimly School of Law and Government (JSLG) Foundation, PCA ‘Aisyiyah Ciputat Timur, PCNU South Tangerang, Muhammadiyah Regional Leadership South Tangerang, Center for Halal Product Guarantee Studies and Development (P3JPH) UIN Jakarta, Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) South Tangerang, and Pengajian Al-Hidayah Cempaka Putih, Ciputat Timur.
The agreements provide a foundation for collaborative programs focusing on community service, human resource development, legal assistance, community empowerment, research, training, and professional certification.
In his remarks, the Dean of FSH emphasized that collaboration is not merely about meeting accreditation indicators but represents the real implementation of the Tri Dharma, especially in community service.
“Community service is not just about accreditation requirements; it is part of the Tri Dharma. The potential and expertise of lecturers and the academic community must bring tangible benefits to society. Universities must not only exist in classrooms but also provide solutions to real societal problems,” he stated.
Currently, FSH has nine study programs, seven of which have achieved “Excellent” accreditation and six with international accreditation. These achievements serve as a strong foundation for expanding contributions in education, research, and community service.
Key collaboration highlights include:
-
With P3JPH UIN Jakarta: programs on halal certification assistance for businesses, training, research, and competency development in the halal industry. Free halal certification quotas remain available for micro and small enterprises.
-
With PCNU South Tangerang: community empowerment programs leveraging PCNU’s extensive organizational network.
-
With PCA ‘Aisyiyah Ciputat Timur, Muhammadiyah South Tangerang, DMI South Tangerang, and Pengajian Al-Hidayah: initiatives such as funeral management training, family law counseling, religious education, and social programs tailored to community needs.
-
With JSLG Foundation: research development, legal professional training, mediator competency enhancement, legal audits, regulatory drafting, non-litigation advocacy, and certification supporting the issuance of Diploma Supplement Certificates (SKPI) for students.
The Dean stressed that resource limitations should not hinder impactful programs. Collaboration is the key to building a stronger, sustainable ecosystem of community service.
“Through collaboration, we can share resources, strengthen networks, and deliver programs that truly address community needs. May today’s synergy continue beyond the signing of agreements into real actions that benefit society,” he added.
The PKS signing marks a significant milestone for FSH UIN Jakarta in expanding productive partnerships oriented toward public welfare. Through cross-sector collaboration, the faculty aims to realize programs that benefit education, legal services, community empowerment, halal ecosystem development, and human resource quality enhancement.
With this spirit of collaboration and service, FSH UIN Jakarta reaffirms its role as a higher education institution that excels academically while actively contributing solutions, strengthening partnerships, and supporting inclusive and progressive community development.
