FSH News, Dean's Meeting Room - The Faculty of Sharia and Law at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta has officially established a partnership with the Jimly School of Law and Government (JSLG) Foundation through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education in enhancing public service (Wednesday, June 3, 2026).

This collaboration marks a strategic step in reinforcing synergy between academia and institutions focused on legal and governance development, aimed at supporting education, research, and community service.

Through the MoU, both institutions agreed to develop various collaborative programs, including:

• Seminars and public lectures

• Joint research initiatives

• Student internships

• Training programs

• Community service activities oriented toward improving the quality of public services

Dean of FSH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, stated that this partnership is part of the faculty’s efforts to expand networks with strategic institutions to enhance academic quality and align legal education with societal needs. The presence of JSLG as a partner is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening the capacity of students, lecturers, and academic staff, particularly in the fields of law, constitutional studies, and governance.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Jimly School of Law and Government Foundation welcomed the collaboration as a shared commitment to creating an innovative, collaborative, and impactful educational ecosystem. Through this synergy, both institutions are expected to produce programs that foster the development of excellent human resources and drive improvements in public service quality in Indonesia.

The signing of this MoU represents an important milestone for FSH UIN Jakarta and JSLG in building sustainable collaboration to realize a Tri Dharma of Higher Education that is adaptive to societal needs and responsive to the challenges of the times.
