In his remarks, Dean Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., MDC., expressed appreciation to all lecturers and staff for their dedication and contributions in supporting education, research, and community service. Student achievements and awards received by FSH were highlighted as important outcomes of the collective efforts of the academic community.
Student accomplishments across various fields were noted as positive indicators of the faculty’s progress. These achievements are expected not only to be a source of institutional pride but also to motivate continued support for students in developing their potential, competing, and excelling at national and international levels.
The Dean also addressed challenges faced by lecturers in fulfilling academic responsibilities. He emphasized the need for more proportional workload management to ensure lecturers can perform optimally while maintaining well-being and resource sustainability.
The meeting also discussed the development of academic ranks, including proposals and appointments for professorships among FSH lecturers. Strengthening academic ranks is expected to enhance the faculty’s academic capacity and reputation as a leading institution in sharia and legal education.
Lecturers provided feedback on academic operations, including concerns about high credit-hour loads, teaching assignments, and classroom utilization. Ensuring adequate and effective learning spaces was highlighted as essential for comfortable and high-quality teaching.
Beyond academic matters, the forum addressed student discipline and campus environment issues, such as compliance with smoking regulations and adherence to dress codes, which are considered part of fostering a professional and orderly academic culture.
On institutional development, the Dean stressed the importance of preparing for reaccreditation of three study programs within FSH. Collaboration across all faculty units was encouraged to meet accreditation requirements effectively, thereby maintaining and enhancing program quality and achievements.
The Odd Semester Faculty Meeting 2026/2027 served as an important moment to build two-way communication between leadership and lecturers. Through open discussion and feedback, FSH UIN Jakarta reaffirmed its commitment to continuous improvement in academics, student services, human resource management, and institutional strengthening.
