Two students from the Law Studies Program, Class of 2024, Rafi Kamilsyah Sangadji and Nabiilah Ishmah Suciwati, won First Runner-Up (Juara Harapan I) at the National Debate Competition TSM Economic Days 2026, which was participated in by leading universities across Indonesia.

The competition featured 16 teams from various universities, including Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Indonesia (UI), Universitas Padjadjaran (UNPAD), Universitas Diponegoro (UNDIP), and others. They demonstrated sharp analysis of debated issues, constructed systematic arguments, and conveyed ideas with powerful rhetoric. These skills led them to secure the First Runner-Up award, proving the competitiveness of FSH UIN Jakarta students in national-level academic competitions.

Rafi Kamilsyah Sangadji shared that preparation for the competition was relatively short: "We only had about a month to prepare. But we were already used to practicing independently reading references, researching current issues, and listening to debate speeches as learning material," he said.

Echoing this, Nabiilah Ishmah Suciwati emphasized that the achievement was the result of hard work, consistent practice, and strong support from many parties: "This accomplishment is not just our effort, but also thanks to the full support of the Faculty of Sharia and Law UIN Jakarta, which continues to motivate and provide opportunities for students to develop their academic and competitive potential," she stated.

Dean of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, S.H., M.A., expressed appreciation for the achievement of the two students. He noted that this success demonstrates that FSH students excel not only in mastering legal knowledge but also in critical thinking, communication, and competitive argumentation at the national level. "This achievement is a source of pride for FSH UIN Jakarta. We hope Rafi and Nabiilah’s success inspires other students to keep developing their competencies, dare to compete, and bring honor to the faculty and university in various academic arenas," said the Dean.

The success of Rafi and Nabiilah adds to the list of national achievements by students of FSH UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. The faculty remains committed to supporting student potential development through training programs, mentoring, and participation in academic and non-academic competitions, as part of its mission to produce graduates who are excellent, competitive, and globally capable.
