HMPS HPI 2026 Holds Legal Opinion Event, Sharpening Students’ Legal Reasoning Skills

FSH News, 2nd Floor Room Teather - The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta hosted the Legal Opinion HMPS HPI 2026 event on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at the Faculty’s 2nd Floor Theater. The program was designed to strengthen students’ legal reasoning through both theoretical insights and practical exercises in drafting legal opinions.

In his opening remarks, Dheans Haryo Mas Putra Bahrudin, the event’s chief organizer, emphasized that the activity aimed to enhance students’ ability to analyze and formulate legal opinions systematically and argumentatively. Echoing this, the Vice Chair of HMPS HPI 2026 expressed hope that the program would serve as a platform for academic capacity-building, particularly in the area of legal reasoning.

The first session featured M. Ridho Ilahi, S.H., M.H. as speaker, presenting on “The Architecture of Legal Opinion: Bridging Ambiguity Toward Legal Certainty.” Moderated by Bilhaya Rusdi, the session was highly interactive, with participants raising critical questions. Discussions covered key aspects of legal opinion drafting, including the use of legal foundations, data validity, the importance of footnotes and bibliographies, and contemporary issues such as data privacy in the digital era.

The second session was delivered by Hasin Abdullah, S.H. (Cand.), M.H., who spoke on “Practical Techniques in Drafting Legal Opinions.” Drawing on his extensive experience in advocacy and legal consultancy, he provided practical guidance on effective and professional methods of legal opinion writing.

Beyond lectures, participants engaged in hands-on practice by drafting legal opinions based on case studies provided. Their enthusiasm was evident in the active responses and analyses of the legal problems presented. Questions on professional ethics and the legal consequences of drafting opinions further enriched the discussion.

The event concluded with the presentation of certificates to the speakers, followed by documentation and a group photo session. Participants closed the program by chanting the Legal Opinion 2026 slogan: “Sharpening Reasoning, Formulating Solutions”, and a prayer led by Bayu Fauzi Arafah.

Through this initiative, HMPS HPI 2026 hopes students will become more adept at producing legal opinions that are argumentative, objective, and solution-oriented, enabling them to address the evolving legal challenges faced by society.
