FSH News, Student Center Field — The Faculty of Sharia and Law (FSH) at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta officially launched the 2026 Pengenalan Budaya Akademik dan Kemahasiswaan (PBAK – Introduction to Academic and Student Culture) program on Friday, August 28, 2026. The opening day took place at the Student Center Field, Campus I, and was attended by all new students of the Faculty of Sharia and Law.
The day began with registration and mobilization of new students to the venue. Committees, mentors, and assistant mentors ensured the event ran smoothly, safely, and in accordance with the planned agenda.
The Opening Ceremony of PBAK FSH 2026 was solemn yet festive. It began with the presentation of the PBAK mascot, the procession of faculty leaders, and a parade of eight flags representing study programs, the Faculty of Sharia and Law, and the Indonesian national flag. The ceremony was further enlivened by an opening dance performance.
The program continued with the recitation of Qur’anic verses, the singing of Indonesia Raya and the UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta Hymn, followed by speeches from the Chair of the PBAK Committee and the Chair of the Faculty Student Executive Board (DEMA FSH).
The highlight of the opening was the official address by the Dean of FSH, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Maksum, M.A., represented by Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Kamarusdiana, M.H. He formally opened PBAK FSH 2026 with a symbolic gong strike, warmly welcomed by the new students as a sign of the beginning of their academic and student life journey at FSH.
After the opening, new students attended sessions introducing their study programs and student organizations. Activities were held alternately at the Faculty Theater Room and the Student Center Hall. Students from the Sharia Economic Law, Islamic Criminal Law, and Law programs received program-specific orientations, while those from Family Law, Constitutional Law, and Comparative Schools of Law joined sessions introducing student organizations.
Students were introduced to various organizations, including the Faculty Student Executive Board (DEMA FSH), Faculty Student Senate (SEMA FSH), and Study Program Student Associations (HMPS). They also learned about semi-autonomous organizations such as the Moot Court Community (MCC) and GIBEI FSH, as well as the Student Activity Unit FORSA, which provides a platform for talents and interests.
Following the ISHOMA (Rest, Prayer, and Meal) break, activities resumed with a rotation system: students from Family Law, Constitutional Law, and Comparative Schools of Law attended program orientations, while those from Sharia Economic Law, Islamic Criminal Law, and Law joined organizational introductions.
The sessions were interactive, featuring discussions, Q&A, and ice-breaking activities to foster communication and maintain enthusiasm among new students.
