UIN Jakarta Students Win Second Place in National Public Policy Debate at Padjadjaran Islamic Fair 2026
FSH NEWS, Bandung — Students of Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University (UIN Jakarta) have once again achieved a notable accomplishment at the national level. The UIN Jakarta team secured Second Place in the Public Policy Debate Competition on Food Security and Agricultural Economics at Padjadjaran Islamic Fair 2026, a national inter-university competition held at Universitas Padjadjaran on October 18, 2026.
The achievement was earned by a team of three students from different faculties: Siti Avivatus Sadia, a third-semester student in the Constitutional Law Study Program at the Faculty of Sharia and Law; Nadifa Ambar Faizah, a fifth-semester student in the Psychology Study Program at the Faculty of Psychology; and Nesya Tiarani, a fifth-semester student in the Early Childhood Education Study Program at the Faculty of Educational Sciences.
This achievement reflects the academic capabilities of UIN Jakarta students in competing at the national level, particularly in presenting critical arguments and analyzing public policy issues. Food security and agricultural economics are strategic issues that require comprehensive analysis, given their relevance to public welfare, agricultural sustainability, and national economic development.
The participation of students from three distinct academic disciplines was a particular strength of the team. Their interdisciplinary collaboration enabled them to approach public policy issues from diverse perspectives. Constitutional law, psychology, and education provided complementary insights into regulatory frameworks, community behavior, and human resource development.
The second-place finish at Padjadjaran Islamic Fair 2026 is expected to encourage UIN Jakarta students to continue developing their potential, strengthening their critical thinking skills, and participating actively in academic forums and national competitions. The achievement also demonstrates the role students can play in addressing strategic national issues through ideas, dialogue, and constructive argumentation.
This accomplishment is a source of pride for UIN Jakarta and reinforces the importance of fostering an academic environment that supports student achievement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and meaningful contributions to society.
Congratulations to Siti Avivatus Sadia, Nadifa Ambar Faizah, and Nesya Tiarani on their achievement. May this success inspire them to pursue further accomplishments and encourage other students to continue striving for excellence at the national level.
